Please read these Terms and Conditions carefully before accessing or using the services provided by Thrive Kids BC (“we”, “us”, or “our”). By booking an appointment, engaging our services, or using this website, you agree to be bound by these Terms and Conditions.
1. Services
Thrive Kids BC provides clinical counselling, play therapy, parent support, pre-diagnostic and post-assessment support, and related services for children, youth, and families. Services are provided by Shaista Fatehali, Registered Clinical Counsellor (RCC, BCACC #20852).
Our services are not a substitute for emergency or crisis intervention. If you or your child are in immediate danger, please contact 911 or your local emergency services immediately.
2. Appointments and Cancellations
We ask that you provide a minimum of 24 hours’ notice to cancel or reschedule an appointment. Appointments cancelled with less than 24 hours’ notice, or missed without notice, may be subject to a cancellation fee. Repeated late cancellations or no-shows may result in the discontinuation of services.
3. Fees and Payment
Session fees will be communicated at the time of booking. Thrive Kids BC accepts eligible funding including Autism Funding, EAP, CVAP, and ICBC, and offers direct billing where applicable. Payment is due at the time of service unless a prior arrangement has been made. We reserve the right to adjust our fee schedule with reasonable notice.
4. Informed Consent
Prior to beginning services, clients (and parents or guardians of minor clients) will be asked to review and sign an informed consent agreement. This agreement outlines the nature of counselling services, confidentiality and its limits, fees, cancellation policies, and other relevant information. Services will not commence until informed consent has been obtained.
5. Confidentiality
All information shared within the therapeutic relationship is confidential. Exceptions to confidentiality exist where required by law or professional standards, including but not limited to: mandatory reporting of child abuse or neglect, risk of harm to self or others, and court-ordered disclosure. Please refer to our Privacy Policy for full details.
